My HISTORY

Here is a short overview of my creative journey and personal development through the different arts.

SOFT GOODS PRDUCT DESIGN INTERN

During my time at FG, I was entrusted with full ownership of the product development cycle. This included conducting research into new product opportunities, pitching concepts to colleagues, developing ideas through drawings, instructing factories on the design, reviewing samples for comment, ensuring quality standards, and ultimately reviewing the performance of products once they reached stores.

To deliver successfully, I relied on strong organizational skills, proficiency in Illustrator, the ability to clearly communicate expectations, and the coordination of collaboration across internal departments and external factory partners.

In this role, I delivered the end-to-end development of 34 products, spanning three continents, that are currently all scheduled for release by SS26.

This was an opportunity to improve my photography in the harshest of conditions, so of course I couldn’t resist getting involved.... I would accompany groups of people with my camera as they ventured into exciting and challenging aquatic environments such as rivers and gorges. With an eye for existing and creative compositions, I aimed to encapsulate the essence of these experiences in a single shot.

First class Honours

An accumulation of all my understanding and development in how to accurately research, locate strong insight, effectively explore solutions, plan and execute a design with consideration to material choice, and articulate product concept and solution effectively. Finally, to manufacture a high-quality final product with complementing branding athletics and brand identity to appeal to target consumers.

Third year direct entrance

I enjoy making, however I love problem-solving, insight gathering and solution making. This third year really confirmed that fact in my mind. My past experience as a jewellery student only enhanced my ability to design by understanding how to make.

JEWELLERY & METAL WORK DESIGN

My time with jewellery design taught me how to think as a maker/ crafter, not just a designer on paper. Techniques process skills, understanding how, now helps me with consideration of the practicality as I design.

Gap Year, Work
at B&Q

B&Q gave me real-life understanding of the work place. Being on the service desk I dealt with a  multitude of different challenges, which grew my confidence in my ability to effectively manage problems and solve them for people.
